Happy Tails Story

In the summer of 2012 I decided to get a dog. I knew that I wanted to adopt one instead of buying from a breeder. I follow the Rochester Animal Services page on Facebook, and saw a little white Pit Bull mix up for adoption. At the shelter I met Tank. He was sitting and wagging his tail, waiting for someone to take him home. After meeting him we immediately hit it off, I knew he was the dog for me. I’m fortunate to work for my family’s lawn equipment dealership and can bring Tank to work with me nearly everyday. Being an extremely friendly dog, he soon fell into the role of greeter and customer service manager. He spends his days getting petted and his belly rubbed, and daily treats from the UPS and Fed Ex delivery

I quickly found out that Tank was a fast learner, and gifted natural athlete as well. Together we’ve done basic obedience training which helped his manners and made him a model Bully citizen. We’ve traveled to Syracuse for a weight pulling training course that was a great outlet for his strength and athletic ability. Last winter after excelling in his obedience training, we participated in a course so he can one day receive his Canine Good Citizen certificate. He’s a great dog, a member of the family, and adopting him was one of the best choices I’ve ever made.
