The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) has launched a mobile application available for both Apple and Android users. The app is free and provides lots of useful information. With the app, you can access critical information in the event of a natural disaster – what to do before, during and after – even if there is no data connectivity. You can store your pet’s vital medical information and have it accessible at your fingertips. And most notable of all, the app has a missing pet recovery kit that includes step-by-step instructions on how to search for a lost animal in a variety of circumstances. The application will build a missing pet flyer that can be distributed via social media channels and will hopefully help bring your pet home sooner.
Additionally, the ASPCA has a mobile app for their poison control center. This application provides a rating for household plants, medications, weather-related hazards for dogs, cats, horses and birds. This application could prove to be life saver in the event of a medical emergency.
